And the Spirit and the Bride say, "Come". And let him that hears say, "Come". And let him that is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life freely!                                                                    Rev. 22:17

~ BELIEVING IN GOD Vs. BELIEVING GOD ~

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BELIEVING IN GOD AND BELIEVING GOD?

JAMES 2:19 You believe that there is one God; you do well: the demons also believe, and tremble. Believing alone will not save the demons from comdemnation. Obedience is KEY to salvation.

The Bible says that demons believe in God and they tremble, but they will never make it to heaven by simply believing in Him, We must BELIEVE Him as well!!! For it is when we BELIEVE him, that we are willing to obey him as well.

HERE IS A LIST OF DEMONS/SPIRITS THAT BELIEVE IN GOD (JESUS):

MATTHEW 8:29 "What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?"

MARK 1:24 "What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!"

MARK 5:7 He shouted at the top of his voice, "What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Swear to God that you won't torture me!"

MARK 12:29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

LUKE 4:34 "Ha! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--the Holy One of God!"

ACTS 19:15 [One day] the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?"

THE QUESTION IS THEN, ARE THE DEMONS/SPIRITS GOING TO HEAVEN, SIMPLY BY BELIEVING???

IN CASE YOU ARE WONDERING THE ANSWER IS NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

DOES YOUR BELIEVE IN GOD FALL IN THE CATEGORY, AS THAT OF THE DEMONS, OR DOES IT FALL IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS THAT OF JESUS, ABRAHAM, JOSEPH, JOB, DAVID, ESTHER, APOSTLES, ETC...??? IF IT'S IN THE FIRST CATEGORY, YOU'RE IN TROUBLE, IF IT'S IN THE LATTER, THEN YOU'RE OK!

HOW CAN YOU TELL THE DIFFERENCE?

The difference is that when you BELIEVE GOD you OBEY Him! You keep his commandments, you tithe, you forgive, you help the needy, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick, etc...

WILL OBEYING GOD GUARANTEE YOUR TRIP TO HEAVEN? YES, Absolutely!!!

Adam and Eve believed in GOD, but they didn't BELIEVE God. That is the reason they ate from the forbidden fruit. They didn't believe God, when he told them that they would die, if they ate from the forbidden fruit.

This means that what ever promises He made to us He will be faithful to fulfill them! Whether He promissed a blessing for our obedience or a curse / punishment for our disobedience.

MATTHEW 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

MATTHEW 25:31-33,41-46 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.  41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’

44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

DO YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN GOD?

  • Do you ATTEND church on a regular basis?
  • Do you Tithe?
  • Do you Pray?
  • Do you read the Bible?
  • Do you help the Needy?
  • Do you obey the Commandments?
  • Do you live a Godly life?
  • Are you Serving God?

IF YOUR ANSWER IS NO, THEN PERHAPS YOU NEED TO ASK YOURSELF, WHAT DOES BELIEVING IN GOD TRULY MEAN?

JAMES 2:14-17 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

IF YOUR ANSWER IS YES, THEN YOU ARE A TRUE BELIEVER FOR NOT ONLY DO YOU BELIEVE IN GOD, BUT YOU BELIEVE HIM AS WELL!!!

MATTHEW 25:31-40 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give Youdrink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

MATTHEW 7:24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
