And the Spirit and the Bride say, "Come". And let him that hears say, "Come". And let him that is thirsty come. And whoever will, let him take the water of life freely!                                                                    Rev. 22:17

 ~ TYPES OF DEATH ~

Man is a TRICHOTOMY, the Bible says that we were created in God's image and likeness. Genesis 1:27. God is a TriUne God. Three persons coming together to form one true God.

We as humans were created with three persons as well. We can see this is true based on the three forms of NOURISHMENTS, BIRTHS & DEATHS for Mankind. Each fulfilling the need of each person of the Man trichotomy.

In the book of Genesis, it is mentioned that God created Man out of clay; That was the Physical body. Then he blew his breath into his nostrils that gave him life. It is the spirit that gives the body life (the energy to move). Once the body had life, it became a living soul. A soul outside a body is consider a GHOST (an energy without substance), but inside a body, it is considered a LIVING soul. The soul is the cognitive (thinking part of the human being). It is the decision maker. It tells the body what to do or say. The SOUL is eternal. It is the part of the human being Jesus died for.

The Body is the container that holds both SPIRIT and the SOUL together. All three are necessary in order to be a true, living, human being.

The body disintegrates in the grave, the spirit returns to God, the soul continues to exist. In a new location… heaven or hell.

  DIFFERENT STATES OF BEING:

A BODY without a soul is considered a VEGETABLE.

A SOUL without a Body is considered a GHOST.

A BODY without a SPIRIT is considered a CORPSE.

  THREE DISTINCT PERSONS:

  • THE SOUL: Is the thinking part of Man; The decision maker.
  • THE SPIRIT: Is the life (energy) of Man.
  • THE BODY: Is the physical part of Man. It is the container that holds both spirit (life) and the soul (thinking part) together.

  NOURISHMENTS:

  • SPIRIT: SOUND Christian music & Prayer gives our spirit energy. The vibration of sound nourishes our spirit. Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
  • BODY: FOOD is needed in order that our body may be strong and healthy. Genesis 2:16 "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden;”
  • SOUL: SCRIPTURES nourishes our souls. Gives us strength to bare even the worst of tragedies. Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

   BIRTHS:

  •  SPIRIT: God breaths the breath of life into our nostrils; His spirit IS life. At conception; God gives us his spirit through the oxygen we receive via our mother’s blood. Genesis 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
  • FLESH: The day our mothers give birth to us. John 3;6 Flesh gives birth to flesh...
  • SOUL: When we begin to obey God and don’t do the things of the flesh. John 3:3,5 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.

   DEATHS:

  •  SOUL: SIN causes the death of the soul. Genesis 2:17 The day you eat of the fruit you shall surely die. Ephesians 2:1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
  • PHYSICAL: DEATH when a person exhales their last breath and both SOUL & SPIRIT leave the physical body. Ecclesiaster 12:7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from and the spirit returns to God who gave it. That is called the Second death Revelation 20:6 The second death has no power over them.
  • LIFE: SPIRIT leaves the body and goes back to GOD. His spirit is LIFE. Ecclesiaster 12:7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

For it is appointed for Man to die ONCE (spirit, body and soul), then comes judgement. This explains that man has one life and does not reincarnate. Hebrews 9:27 Just as man is appointed to die once, and after that to face judgment.
