 ~ THE TRINITY ~

THE TRINITY IS ONE GOD IN THREE PERSONS, JUST LIKE WATER IS ONE ELEMENT BUT HAS THREE FORMS LIQUID (FATHER), SOLID (SON), & GAS (SPIRIT). Just like a human is a tri-part being SPIRIT, BODY & SOUL. That is the reason we were made in GOD's image. FATHER being the SOUL (Conscienseness - God Head), JESUS the FLESH (body - God the Son) & HOLY SPIRIT the ENERGY (life -  Spirit). ALL THREE PERSONS ARE NECESSARY TO BE ONE TRUE GOD - ALL THREE PERSONS ARE NECESSARY TO BE A COMPLETE HUMAN BEING. Our body is a person, our soul is a person and our spirit is a person. The difference between humans and God is that our three persons don't agree with each other. "For the flesh wrestles agains the spirit and the spirit agains the flesh. Galatians 5:17".

Perhaps that is what Jesus was referring to when HE said the FATHER is in ME and I AM in the FATHER. The scriptures say they all need each other to function as ONE TRUE GOD!!! John 14:6-11 Jesus answered, ï¿¿I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.ï¿¿ 8 Philip said, ï¿¿Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.ï¿¿ 9 Jesus answered: ï¿¿Donï¿¿t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ï¿¿Show us the Fatherï¿¿? 10 Donï¿¿t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? Romans 1:4 and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.
Psalm 139:4 Before a word is on my tongue you, Jehovah, know it completely. John 2:24-25 24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. 25 He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person. Acts 5:3-4 But Peter said, ï¿¿Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.ï¿¿
1Kings 3:12 I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. Matthew 12:42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomonï¿¿s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here. John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
John 4:24 God is SPIRIT (HOLY does not walk in the flesh) Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Jesus is Spirit (Holy) does not walk in the flesh Act 2:33, Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.1 Peter 1:11 searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.

The Presence Of The Trinity 

ï¿¿ Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

ï¿¿ 1Timothy 3:16 Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels (Father), was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

ï¿¿ 1 John 5:7 7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

ï¿¿ 2 Corinthians 13:14  14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and can also be referred to as:

ï¿¿ The Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9, 1 Peter 1:11)

ï¿¿ The Spirit of Holiness (Romans 1:4)

ï¿¿ The Spirit of Our God (1 Corinthians 6:11)

 The Personal Nature Of The Holy Spirit

1. The Holy Spirit is personal ï¿¿ that is He has ï¿¿personalityï¿¿ and is not just an impersonal divine force. The Scriptures always refer to the Holy Spirit as ï¿¿heï¿¿  even though in Greek ï¿¿spiritï¿¿ should be neuter gender e.g. John 16: 13-14; 15:26, 16:7,8

2. The Holy Spirit is intelligent ( 1 Corinthians 2:10-11), has feelings (Ephesians 4:30) and will (1 Corinthians 12:11).

3. The Holy Spirit teaches (John 14:26), guides (Romans 8:14), commissions (Acts 13:4) commands men (Acts 8:29), restrains men (Genesis 6:3), intercedes (Romans 8:26) and speaks (John 15:26, 2 Peter 1:21)

4. The Holy Spirit can be obeyed (Acts 10;19-21), lied to (Acts 5:3) resisted (Acts 7:51), reverenced (Psalm 51:11), blasphemed (Matthew 12:11), grieved (Ephesians 4;30) and outraged (Hebrews 10:29)

 The Deity Of The Spirit

5. The Holy Spirit is given names which are only appropriate to God (1 Corinthians 6;11, Romans 8:9, 15; 1 Peter 1:11) and is even called Lord (2 Corinthians 3:17,18)

6. He is equally associated with other Persons of the Trinity (Matthew 28;19, Acts 5:3-4, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

7. The Holy Spirit possesses divine attributes ï¿¿ Omniscience (1 Corinthians 2:10-11), Omnipresence (Psalm 139:7), Omnipotence (Genesis 1:2) , Truth (1 John 5:6), Holiness (Romans 1:4), Life (Romans 8:2,11) and Wisdom (Isaiah 40:13)

8. The Holy Spirit does the works of God ï¿¿ Creating (Genesis 1:2), Inspiring (2Peter 1:21), Begetting Christ (Luke 1:35), Convincing men (John 16:8) Regenerating (John 3:5-6), Comforting (John 14:6), Interceding (Romans 8:26-27) and Sanctifying (2 Thessalonians 2:13)

9. The Spirit comes forth from God - (John 15:26, Galatians 4:6, John 16:7) and is poured out on believers by Jesus Christ who is at God's right hand. (Acts 2:33, 10:45)

 

 

THE TRI-UNE HUMAN

 

Although the word trinity is not found in The Bible, there are many statements that describe it. Three persons are needed in order for a human being to be considered a “WHOLE/COMPLETE LIVING BEING”. If any one of the three persons is missing from a human being, we are not a “COMPLETE/LIVING HUMAN BEING”.

 

THREE PERSONS

 

  • When a human is brain dead, it is not considered a human being, but it is referred to, as a human VEGETABLE. Due to the fact that, the SOUL, or cognitive / thinking part of the human is not present. Even when the body is alive and breathing, if the body is not able to move or think, it is considered a vegetable.
  • When a spirit does not have a physical BODY it is considered a GHOST or disembodied spirit.
  • When a body does not have a SPIRIT it is a corpse (dead, empty shell/container).

 

By themselves none of these three persons can be considered a living human being. It is until all three come together to form one complete, living, HUMAN BEING. Unfortunately, all three don’t always agree with each other. GALATIANS 5:17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. ROMANS 7:15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

 

  • The SOUL knows, what the right thing to do is, but our physical BODY disagrees with our spirit / soul and many times we end up following the body, instead of the soul / spirit. We commit acts of unrighteousness, we lie, fornicate, fight, etc... Reason being the Bible states that the SOUL / SPIRIT wrestle with the BODY, and they are enemies with each other.
  • The BODY obeys the SOUL when we do what is right in spite of what the body wants to do, one example is when your body wants to remain in bed sleeping, but your soul (mind) / spirit (energy) makes your body get up to go to work / school, commonly known as MIND OVER MATTER!
  • The SPIRIT doesn’t always obey the body / soul. One example is when you are depressed or feel sad, even when things are going your way. You may not want to get out of bed, even though you may not be, sick sleepy or tired.

 

In Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. When God created Adam, out of the dirt, although Adam already had a body Adam was not a living creature until God blew his spirit into him. Not only did he become alive, but in addition with God’s spirit he received a soul as well.

 

1 Thessalonians 5:22-24 SPIRIT, BODY & SOUL . We are not THREE different PEOPLE, but THREE different PERSONS with different wills, who come together to make one whole/complete, living human being.

 

THE ROLES OF EACH PERSON OF THE HUMAN TRINITY

 

  1. SPIRIT: LIFE / BREATH / ENERGY
  2. BODY: PHYSICAL / TANGIBLE / VISIBLE
  3. SOUL: MIND / WILL / DESIRES

 

WE WERE CREATED IN GOD’S IMAGE AND LIKENESS GENESIS 1:26

 

GENESIS 1:26 LET US (Father (soul), Son (body) & Holy Spirit (life/energy) MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE AND LIKENESS.

 

  • IMAGE (physical appearance): We look like him physically; He has a human being, appearance. The Bible describes God with the following physical features/characteristics: head, hair, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, arms, legs, hands, fingers, behind, buttocks, stomach. GOD DOES NOT, Look like a horse, cat or dog!!!
  • LIKENESS (emotions): We get angry, sad, happy, loving, hateful, merciful, vindictive, vane, creative, etc...

 

Galatians 5:17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. UNLIKE THE TRINITY OF A HUMAN BEING THAT DISAGREES WITH EACH OTHER.

 

GOD’S TRINITY, ALL THREE ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH EACHOTHER! 1 JOHN 5:7 7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. THEY ARE THREE PERSONS WHO COME TOGETHER TO BE “ONE TRUE GOD”, BUT CAN ALSO FUNCTION INDIVIDUALLY, IN ADDITION TO GOD’S BODY BEING ETERNAL (JESUS), JUST LIKE WATER IS ONE ELEMENT BUT HAS THREE FORMS LIQUID (FATHER), SOLID (SON), & GAS (SPIRIT). Just like a human is a tri-part being SPIRIT, BODY & SOUL could it be that we were made in their image the FATHER being the SOUL (intelligence - God Head), JESUS the BODY (flesh - God the Son) & HOLY SPIRIT our SPIRIT (life - God the Spirit). EVEN THOUGH WE POSSESS SIMILAR CHARACTERISTICS TO HIM, OUR BODIES ARE FINITE AND NOT ETERNAL. THUS, MAKING GOD SUPERIOR TO HUMAN BEINGS. TO HIM BE THE GLORY, THE HONOR AND ALL PRAISE, FOR EVER AND EVER, AMEN!!!

  • WE ARE A TRINITY JUST LIKE GOD. THE FATHER IS THE GODHEAD, JESUS IS THE BODILY FORM, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE LIFE.
